BABY SHOPPING

We headed up north to go baby shopping last weekend- we weren't as successful as we would have liked to have been, but we had a fun time together! AND- it just gives us another excuse to go shopping again :) The pictures of us are in a hand bag section- we were looking for a "diaper bag" and we were so tired since we had been shopping all day and none of us could agree on a diaper bag- so we decided that we would look another time:) We also were so lucky to meet up with one of my best friends and her son. There's a picture of me with my fellow prego, Jen (we were comparing bellies: Jen- 9wks VS. Me- 22wks). Thanks for the fun outing, gals!

TIMBER!!!

Timber broke her foot a week ago so we thought that we would post some pictures of our poor, baby girl. She managed to break every bone in her right rear foot and along with breaking her foot she also broke the bank! :) She's under doctor's orders to lay down for 10-12 weeks- so far, she isn't enjoying that and would really prefer to run around like usual. We are doing our best to contain her!

BABY A'S MOVIN!

We had a doctor's appointment this week and unfortunately, Andrew couldn't be there. So our midwife had me give Andrew a surprise phone call so that he could hear our baby's heartbeat. He said that it was coming in loud and clear on his end at a whopping 140 beats per minute- I think that he enjoyed the surprise!:)

Later that evening, I felt Baby A move for the first time! And it seems that within the last couple of days that I have felt the baby most in the mornings and evenings. It is such an amazing feeling and we feel so very blessed. Our midwife said that near the end of this month, my belly should be popping out more...so stay tuned for our 6 month picture and we'll see!

OUR 2 YEAR ANNIVERSARY :)

We celebrated our 2 year anniversary this last Tuesday. Andrew surprised me with a huge bouquet of red roses~ I felt so spoiled! We felt very lucky this weekend that we had a chance to go out on a date and eat at our favorite Italian restaurant and watch a movie together. We were hoping to spend a weekend away for our anniversary before the baby comes, but with how busy our lives have been and will be for the next few months, we are thinking that won't pan out for a while. So we felt pretty spoiled to have an evening away together. My brother took a couple pictures of us to put in our anniversary album and we tried to get Timber in them with us- but we only got one shot with her- I think the sun was just too bright!

THANKS GRANDMA & GRANDPA!

Boy, oh boy is this baby going to be spoiled! Grandma & Grandpa Aasen are busy helping us fill up Baby Aasen's closet and dresser. We feel so very blessed to have so much love, support and of course, excitement coming from both of our families. Thanks again, Grandma & Grandpa Aasen~ we love you!

WEEK 10 ULTRASOUND CONTINUED......

We've been having a heck of a time trying to scan this ultrasound picture onto the computer for all of you to view...but this dang scanner isn't working right- OR, maybe its the operator. I'm going to stick with the scanner. :) So we finally just took a picture of the week 10 ultrasound- we figure better late than never to post it! We go to the doctor for our next ultrasound near the end of October (between week 24 & 25) and we will be bringing home a DVD recording that we would like to post for all to view. So look forward to seeing that near the end of October or early November. At that appointment, we will have the option of finding out if our baby should come out wearing pink or blue- but again, to some people's disappointment, we are going to leave that as a surprise for all. Andrew says that there aren't many surprises in life, so we might as well let this one be! I think that I can agree with that philosophy. :)

WEEK 19 PHOTO

Yes, we are finally getting around to posting another picture...we've been getting complaints that we haven't been updating our blog quite enough (thanks for staying on top of us, Mindy:)). We didn't end up getting a 4 month photo because life has been pretty crazy for us lately with work, weddings and of course, baby planning! We are about 5 months along now and we are getting mixed reviews...some are saying that there is quite a bump and others can't seem to tell at all- so we'll let you be the judge!
